A special friend introduced me to the Superstition Mountains near Apache Junction, Arizona last March. You could spend days photographing this really unique rock formation, so plan to kill plenty of pixels. March is a great month to visit, much cooler weather than the hot summer months and the desert foliage is still green contrasting the red rocks. I'm always amazed with rock formations and the shapes they mimic, not unlike the earlier post of Acoma Mountains in New Mexico on December 7, 2008. What shapes do you see???
