On New Years eve my friend and pilot Hernan and I flew the Northern Channel Islands in hopes of taking aerial photographs since the sky was clear of clouds just two days earlier. We were surprised to find the islands shrouded in fog, but these conditions still offer some interesting photo opportunities. Upper image West Anacapa Island, lower Santa Cruz Island.

awesome. we have to do it again i suppose. looking for those clear days is a challenge.
