There are eight islands off the coast of Southern California known as the Channel Islands. San Miguel Island is truly my favorite and the most remote. This aerial view is Point Bennett where many ships have met their end as well as one of the largest haul outs of pinnipeds (seals and sea lions) in North America. When exploring shipwrecks off the point you are always guaranteed to have sea lions join you on the dive.
